Re: Praise!

Praise is a most wonderful thing! And it is amazing to me that I am just learning this, within just the last few weeks or so. I feel sad that I have not grasped this truth before now. I have always tried to be thankful but have never known praise. I have been delighted to feel the presence of the Lord, praise just ushers His presence in! I just finished Ruth Ward Heflin's book GLORY, Experiencing the Atmosphere of Heaven yesterday. I devoured it in two days!! It was just awesome. Now I need to go back and read it again, more slowly so as to absorb more. :) The very first page says Praise...until the spirit of worship comes. Worship...until the glory comes. Then...Stand in the Glory! After reading it I am so excited because I can see how much closer I can come to Him, how much more of Him I can have with praise! God is so good, I have known that for a long time, but it keeps getting deeper and deeper into my spirit and I keep knowing it in a deeper fashion. I just want more and more of Him! As John the baptist said "I must decrease so that he can increase." The more I die to myself, the more of Him can be. I just love that song "Let the beauty of Jesus be seen in me."

A few weeks back the Lord gave me Isiah 61:3 "To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified."
