Re: "Slain in the Spirit"
Yes, most definetly Rodney I believe the glory and presence of God can have an effect on these more frail human bodies of ours. :) In the first link I posted many such scriptures were mentioned, it was a rather enjoyable article (though long).
Alikat, I really enjoyed reading your post, thanks so much for posting it. :) Sorry to post on something so controversial, just something that has been of interest to me here of late, so I was reading about it today. I myself have grown up in a church similiar to a Catholic way, so prophecy has been the only workings we have ever experienced. And unfortunantly mostly false prophecy. :( It just has been recently of the past year or so that I have experienced more of the Holy Spirit, both at home and in a Penecostal congregation. It is with much consideration and prayer that this is where we are being drawn too. Thankfully they are a very balanced church, small in number, and it has just been so refreshing from the bondage we are used to. I'm not saying that any church is perfect however, there are no perfect churches as there are no perfect people, but it has been such a joy to go to church for the first time in a long time. Our parents still do not know, but we know we are in the Lord's hands and that all things will be done in His timing and according to His will.
Thanks for ya'lls posts, I enjoyed reading them. :) Caitlin Lorraine
