"Slain in the Spirit"

Here are a couple of interesting articles I have been reading today on being Slain in the Spirit. To me this is an interesting phenonemon, one with which I have spoke with a few people on but have never experienced myself. Though I've never really been down to the front of any meetings to be prayed for either. I'll recount the two stories told to me and I know of two others but were not personally told to me so will not discuss them as they might be considered "hearsay" (and you know how stories can sometimes grow with the telling).

The first was a preacher, he went to a revival and went down to the front for prayer and healing. He was determined not to "fall out", he thought it was just grandstanding or people were being influenced by the power of suggestion. He just wanted healing. The minister did not even touch him, but God did and he felt like he was pushed back and fell to the floor.

The other was a couple we met outside a conference that was canceled and was just visiting with. They had went to a large ministry crusade, I'm not sure I remember the name, one of those where they wave their hand and the whole crowd in that section falls out. The man said he thought it was funny but didn't really think it was of God. Then the minister waved his section. He told the Lord he wasn't going down unless it was of Him and suddenly his knees buckled and he fell to his seat laughing and laughing. His wife also told us (in tears) how the minister had pointed up to her and said the lady in the yellow shirt has just been healed of cancer. She had very progressed Breast Cancer that the doctors had had no effect on, she was healed instantly and her doctors were pretty amazed as well. I think there is so much to the spiritual realm that is unknown to us as mere humans, but it is becoming more real to me--almost as real as this earthly realm.
