Why I am drawn to the debate forums...

Well...I am WAY older than that so I should definitely know better...huh?

Anyway, I hear what you all are saying...but, I see it a little differently. While the support forum is a wonderful place to come and connect with others of "like precious faith" there are times when we are to be "sent out" to be light in a dark and dying world. I see the support forum as being like the organized church...we come to be spiritually nurtured, but God's great commission is fulfilled out in the world.

I am drawn to the debate forum because:

I see it as an opportunity to preach the gospel and share God's word. How many other opportunties do we as believers have to share the everlasting words of truth for many to see? Many unbelievers would not come into the Christian support forum, but will check out the debate forum.

I love a stimulating discussion where I am challenged. I know that sometimes it gets ugly and the flesh rises and the threads disintegrate into personal attacks...but, "iron sharpens iron" and I learn much!

It keeps me humble!!
