Re: Why more debate and less support?

Definitely. You're voicing a concern I also have. But here's a possible explanation. While here at the home front it's just us chickens, the debate forum has a much wider audience with people who are not christians coming in to voice their widely dissenting opinions. Then there are those who while calling themselves christians, have views that vary widely from those standards over which the great majority of us agree, regardless of denominational or cultural differences. This creates a much faster pace, as people try to defend their individual viewpoints, quite often degenerating into insults. I have a sneaky suspicion that it brings out the worst in otherwise a nice group of people who would get along nicely in a malfunctioning, crowded elevator.
Yes, it is disturbing, but then we don't lose sight of the imperfection of human nature, which brings us back to this forum..... Heh heh
All in all though, if you scan through the pages, there are some real gems in the Debate Forums that ought not be missed. Right off the top of my head I can think of the stuff posted by AvgJoe and Eileen, just to name a couple, which are wonderfully informative to all of us. Perhaps we can convince them to bring some of those things here!! How about it guys?....
The thing is, this forum is open to discussions also, which mean even those things in which we don't all see the same, one thing is absolutely for sure; around here we will all agree to disagree when we do, but no uglyness will be allowed - EVER!!! Right Ev?
To err is human - to bash your ideological oponent unchristian !!
Thanks for bringing it up Caitlin Lorraine, good wake-up call.
