What has she done to need forgiveness for? She is (hopefully) going to leave an abusive, unsupportive, unloving man. God helps those who help themselves right? So....as far as I'm concerned I don't think she needs to seek forgiveness. If speaking to a pastor or to God gives her strength, then yes. But not everyone needs a "middle-man" to speak to the Creator.
