Re: root canal treatment

All of the information the previous poster said is relevant, but.... in my opinion none of it trumps the problems of keeping a tooth that needs a root canal. Your dentist while "open to holistic stuff" is not a holistic dentist like Hal Huggins.

I don't see how any dentist can get all the pulp and nerve out of a tooth completely. Without doing that, bacteria will grow. As has been mentioned, the tooth is dead and no blood will be servicing the tooth to allow your immune system to kill any bacteria. The bacteria will grow and eventually leak out into your system causing you problems. I would lean towards Hal Huggins opinion before I would your dentist. At the very least, get a second opinion from a dentist who practices holistc dentistry. Resonal must be misspelled as it won't come up in a search.

If you do decide to have it removed, by all means go to a holistic dentist that will remove the tooth properly so you don't have cavatational problems later.

Big decision in getting rid of a tooth, I know. Good luck in whatever you decide.
