Re: Help! Trying to Avoid Root Canal! Looking for a Biological Dentist in Portland, Oregon
Thanks for the reassurance about the bleeding teeth and hormones. My child is 19 months and still breastfeeding.
I read your story and totally encourage you to have your teeth extracted. Root canaled teeth should never hurt like that after they are done. My dentist completely attests to that. If you can't afford implants then have some temporaries put in. My dentist told me that I can wait quite a while after my extraction to have the implant put in. It takes quite a while for your teeth to shift.
Now that I am faced with this infection, I truly understand how important it is to take care of my teeth. It really affects your overall health in so many ways. Unfortunately, it took this incident to wake me up, but at least I can instill good oral hygiene in my child and preserve the rest of my teeth.
My parents are in their late fifties and are experiencing a myriad of health problems (lupus, high blood pressure, arthritis). They are not overweight, they don't drink or smoke, and eat fairly healthy. We have no family history of these illnesses. My sister is 36 and has been chronically ill for the past 9 years. All of them have had
root canals and have
Amalgam fillings. Call me paranoid, but I would not be surprised if there is a connection between their poor health and their teeth.
Good luck!
