Re: EZ04 - what point? What question?

There have been a couple of questions and a request standing on the table which no one seems willing or able to answer. I have requested the orginal citation from a Nobel prize winner who said (paraphrasing) "chewing releases enzymes in food" but I cannot find the orginal source, although I find the quote mentioned on the internet, and no one is willing to supply me with that information so I can look at the orginal source. From there came agreement that the human body can produce all the enzymes necessary for digestion. After that Garcia posted that by utilizing the enzymes in food teh body can conserve its own enzymes and thus save energy. I have never heard of this before and I do understand quite a bit about digestive physiology so I asked "How does the body recognize the enzymes in food and communicate this information to the organs involved in the secretion of digestive enzymes?" as it stands now no one can answer that question nor can they supply me with a reference for the orginal research from which this theory developed. I also asked "How can the body deal with the proteases which are in food and I speculated that these proteases would destroy our endogenous enzymes thus incurring a energy drain not a savings. No one can answer this either and they would rather call me things like "stupid", "troll", "pharma plant". Personally I think the time would have been better spent answering or at least discussing how this process might work and how it might not work. Neo suggested that this information isn't found in physiology textbooks because of suppresion by some big corporation...I don't believe that is true and I think that might be a bit paranoid to believe that this has remained hidden from view since the 1950's.

I can also tell you about medical nightmares in my family but that really isn't germain to the topic so I didn't mention it because everyone seems to have enough trouble focusing on the topic as it is. Oh yes, Lapis claims to have answers but will only supply them if I first answer a series of opinion question he has posed. I won't do that but I will answer his questions once he finishes the discussion of the food enzyme topic...but he doesn't (or can't) do that and I am not quite sure which it is but I am leaning towards can't since the questions seem simple enough. Maybe you can help out here?
