It depends on person, and age is also important. The older person, the less chances for deformities.

The stronger jaw, the less chances for jaw changing shape.

I have extracted 2 teeth that were previously root canal filled, but were broken. I didn't regret.

The first was extracted when I was 19, the second was extracted when I was 35. Both premolars, on opposite sides.
