Re: Large degenerating fibroid
Hi, I am so glad that finally someone answered my concern. I have been told by my doctor that the fibroid is generating. I think they can tell by looking at the ultrasound. Usually if it is degenerating if it is full of liquid(instead of being a solid mass) and it looks dark on the screen. I also have mine for about seven years and has been pretty stable. I noticed that in the past I was able to control its grouth and actually shrink it with persistant strict diet(about 95 to 100%)raw food. I was it perfect shape on that diet(for abot 2 years) and I absolutelly loved it till I got pregnant. From that moment on my diet changed dramatically. I had a terible morning(think 24 hours a day) sickness. The raw food made me sick and I was craving heavy and comfort foods(breads and pasta, cheese and meet). Anyway, I had a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. The problem was that the fibroid grew bigger and I had to have a c-section. After the pregnancy they shrunk and gor stabalazed. They never gave me any problems and I had regular painless periods, Just till the last few months they became irregular and with a lot of clotts. So, I checked with my doctor and he found that the degenerating fibroid has grown(I think he said about10 cm) and that it is a good idea to be removed(he preffers hysterectomy). So, I asked him to give me a a month time to see what can I do to take care of it. so I did the fasting and now of course I am back on the 100% raw food. The fast did not bother me , but of course it was not long enough. I am almost tempted to do another one, before my ultrasound.
What kind of fast did you try and for how long? Did it help you in general to become healthier?
IO am also hoping that after menopause the fibroids shrink, altought that my doctor said that is not necessecerelly always the case. What kind of diet do you currently follow? Have you tried the MC?
