The posts are all listed above in the prior posts by myself (lorree000). The book by Christine Northrup is most integrated, as she is a MD and holistic practioner...Womens bodies, Womens wisdom...I think is the title and a lot of great resources. I guess you need to become more informed with the fibroids(where they are located) and if not removed what would be the outcome...death, other organ damage, no children?

You seem like you have figured out the connection with surgeons and second opinions referring to one another...they make their living from performing surgeries! An outside opinion is what you need, by a gyn that is pro keeping the uterus and anti-surgery, or as a last resort...call them on the phone and inquire with the nurses or receptionist and look at Northrup's book for resources. Big cities are better for better options. Call Naturopaths, Homeopaths (many are MD's, holistic centers, etc or go by health food stores, etc and ask for any referrals...they may have some great referrals.

You ARE doing the best you can...so try not to worry...the worst case scenario is removal of the fibroid WITHOUT a hysterectomy...why isn't that a choice? Then you can have a fresh start at health and prevent others from coming up with your regime, Many surgeons will look at a woman's age and say "past child bearing age = hysterectomy" which is ridiculous, but the way they think. Say NO! Depending on where it is located there are many various type of surgeries..Keep researching until you are comfortable with your decision, unless they can tell you for sure you are going to die next week if it is not removed...then find an outside opinion and go from there!
