No state hospital can denigh you emergency medical care. At this point the tooth needs medical care. Infections in the face can spread to the brain and cause death. Here in our city a group called Love Inc. would be able to offer help. Catholic hospital, might be able to help. Decay does not hurt till it exposes the nerve, but I met a lady in the emergency room that was finally getting care she could not afford in the emergency room and was afraid of being given Antibiotics which she was deathly allergic to nearly killed herself with tylenol trying to stop the pain.

Regular hospital couldn't denigh her emergency coverage, I don't know how it is the hospitals near you can, nor the health department. Seems pretty strange to me.

They may only pull the tooth at the ER, and do follow up care, but your husband will fair better with them pulling it than himself. If nothing else setting up in the hospital while he is misserable will likely be sqeeky enough for them to oil the wheel now. You can worry about the bridge later, but you will need a bridge when it is pulled to keep the upper tooth in place.
