Re: Please help ASAP!! (Horrible ongoing tooth pain & swelling!)
No, you're absolutely right- we don't. Part of the reason we can't save up to get his tooth fixed is because he's been spending about $10 every other week for a big bottle of vodka.. BUT we can afford $10; with bills we don't have a lump sum left over enough for the dentist, since they want it all up front. And he cannot go without pain relief for the weeks it would take to save up that kind of money. It would be nice if we could find someone to put us on a payment plan, but I've asked around until I've turned blue, and the best our health department has is that price. I asked them if they'd accept payments or bill us, and they said it had to be up front no exceptions.
By now, on the 8th whenever he came home from work he had been crying all day and his jaw was noticably swollen so bad that it made it look as if his tongue was in his jaw. We just don't know what to do- He gets paid every two weeks at about $395, and that's always been just enough for us to get by. We have barely enough money to hold us over until his next check, and the swelling has not receded. Without pain relief he is reduced to a crying sobbing writhing ball on the floor. I am frustrated to tears with this, but I don't know what to do. All our bills are already late as it is, and we will be getting them paid days before they cut things off- we already let our phone get cut off. I'm going to try to pawn some things and ask his relatives to help, so hopefully it won't be long now until we can afford it, but thank you for your concern.
But-- Any ideas as to why his tooth is all of a sudden acting out like this? It's been broken - but painless- for years until this started, and he's always brushed his teeth at least 2ce a day.
