Re: Please help ASAP!! (Horrible ongoing tooth pain & swelling!)
Well this is probably too late to be of help to you but maybe someone else might see it.
For a broken tooth, I'd say that is emergency care issue and the health department should be able to refer you to the appropriate caregiver and the hospital should be able to set up a payment plan so that even at 135$ you can get it payed for five ten dollars a month.
For tooth pain when I broke my took I kept clove around and nibbled on them. This prevented infection for about 8 months so I could get it taken care of without too much more damage. Clove has some topical pain relief ability and
Antibiotic ability and can help healing begin. I'd personally just have my tooth pulled rather than have those nasty chemicals in my mouth again for a ceramic crown to be made. I don't know how they would put a spacer in, but ireacted badly to the plastices and they totally destroyed my tooth to put the crown on. Fortunately I have one less murcury filling though.
With a broken tooth there is likely malnutrician setting in. Salt rinses and clove tea rinses may be helpful to alieviate some of the problems short term, but you do not want to just ignore the pain without correcting the infection. Getting drunk will just make the infection spread possibly faster. Surely if you don't have the money for a good dental visit you don't have the money to buy alcohol and pain killers anyway.
