Re: Bupleurum Liver Cleanse and/or Chinese Bitters?

Ah, so sorry, my mind just totally missed the high blood pressure part! Argh!

Okay. Blood pressure rises in two ways:

1. constriction of the blood vessals.
2. water in the bloodstream.

The first part, constriction/release of blood vessals, is managed by prostaglandins, which are manufactured from Essential Fatty Acids (EFA's) that contain Omega 3 and 5 fatty acids. they also need minerals, the answer to the second part, so you can see how important good minerals are.

The second part is regulated by the amount of sodium in the body. Most doctors see that and regulate salt only, forgetting that all the salts and minerals are balanced together. Sodium is balanced by potassium, calcium by phosphorus, everything in pairs and interconnected on top of that.

so okay. What you need to do is:

Take a good mineral supplement, preferably acsorbate - powder you put into water and it bubbles, subsides and you drink it. CalMagFizz is one example, a good one to take. Eat things high in potassium, you shouldn't have to take potassium supplements, it's in everything living.

You also need to switch from table salt to Celtic Sea Salt . Put a bit in all the water you drink. Avoid all foods that you do not make yourself - fast foods, frozen microbwave foods, as they all have tons of bad salt. When you are in total control of your salt, and it's good salt, you can use it liberally.

Take a good fatty acid supplement. This means cold pressed flax seed oil, 1 tablespoon a day or more, and/or Borage or evening primrose oil. Eat fish once a week, esp. salmon, tuna, mackeral, halibut, swordfish, sardines.

Take Parsley in pills or drink parsley juice so the kidneys regulate electrolytes better.

Have you had your kidneys checked? BUN, creatinine? Do you have to urinate frequently?

Hope that helps!
