Over the four years that I had very bad insomnia I was "abusing" magnesium oxide because it was the only thing that helped with the insomnia. I was taking at one point 5 tablets (250mg ea.) per night. This caused a lot of diarrhea and loose stools-every day practically. Stupidly I did not consider the loss of minerals I was causing. I still need one mg tablet per night (plus 5htp and melatonin) to sleep, which keeps my stools less than perfectly formed. During these four years of insomnia and all those other health issues my hair went grey a lot! Copper?
