Re: Seeking Vit C Advice (apology for the long post)

Dear Dena,

I think you overwhelmed people with all that
information and those questions. If you go
to my archive here on CZ (I'll post the
address at the end), you can read my suggestions (some of them) about vitamin C.
When you click on the homepage, click on
the Nutritionals section. The third post down
is about vitamin C. You can also click on
"All of Owen's Messages" on the top of this
particular message. I've answered a lot of
questions about viamin C in the last 2 years.

Fred is obviously overweight. His recent
strokes are a warning to make major changes
in his eating regimen, as well as his lifestyle.

I recommend he become a vegetarian who eats
mostly organic, living foods. I recommend he
drink 3 to 4 quarts of distilled water every
day. I suggest Fred begin a series of colon,
liver, and kidney cleanses ASAP. It's quite
likely that his intestinal tract is clogged
up with decades of toxic debris. Once his liver and kidneys are clean -- figure at least a year or longer to flush all the stones out -- then his liver and kidneys
will be able to clean his blood. Thick blood
causes strokes. Normal blood does not.

Yes, he needs to exercise. In addition to
walking and stretching, consider getting a
rebounder. It's a superb exercise machine
for the lymph system, as well as all the other
organs. Fred's lymph system is likely clogged
with debris that his body was unable to expel.

Educate yourself about Natural Healing. CZ is
a good place to do that. And here are a few
books that you both should read.

1) Healing With Whole Foods -- by Paul Pitchford.

2) Lessons From The Miracle Doctors -- by Jon
Barron.

3) Timeless Secrets of Health & Rejuvenation -- by Andreas Moritz

Start with those three, Dena, and trust your
intuition to lead you to other good books.

If Fred is willing to make a Major Turnaround
in his habits, chances are good that he will
live out the autumn and winter of his lifetime
in good health. The changes only seem daunting
BEFORE you begin them. Once he's 4 months into
the new regimen, it will be easy and satisfying.

I will keep you both in my prayers.

Blessings,

Owen
