Re: is ascorbate acid toxic?
Dear Journ,
I think Northstar gave you some good advice. Yes, I
urge you to eat lots of fresh fruit. I eat a banana,
an orange, an apple, a grapefruit, and fresh pineapple
every day. If you can find acerola cherries or goji
berries, fine. If not, eat lots of organic fruit.
Ascorbic acid hasn't been toxic for me. I've taken a
lot of it in the last three decades. However, you
have to trust your own intutiion, not mine. If you
feel it may be causing you problems, back off for
awhile, or lower your daily dosage.
Children are more likely to catch colds, because the
schools are full of sick children. Even a mega-dose
of C may not protect you completely from a cold, as I
found out, to my chagrin, this Spring. However, I had
3 bad days, whereas most of my neighbors suffered for
weeks. I'm glad your daughter's cold was abbreviated.
You've made great strides in healing, Journ, in less
than a year. But you spent a good many years eating
the wrong foods, and drinking the wrong drinks. It
takes time to cleanse all 75 trillion cells. I suggest
you keep cleansing your intestinal tract, and eating
clean, organic food. It won't be long before most of
your health problems are just bad memories. Don't
let those cholesterol numbers dim your enthusiasm.
Blessings,
Owen
