Natural health "gurus" sceptical about vitamin C
It is unfortunate that some of very well know natural health gurus are sceptical about things that we are excited about and use every day.
Just mention vitamin C. If a person is searching for alternatives reading some famous people, he/she pretty much relies on that person because she is sure if a naturopath or anyone like that is speaking in behalf of natural medicine, everything he says must be true. And whatever he discourages it also must be true. And there is a great potential for the seeker to miss a very useful supplement or useful action that she would otherwise benefit very much so. Really, if you are fresh, newcommer, want to know about something, yuo come across some big name, check out what that guru says about that and you may get discouraged forever. The next thing that person says: yeh, it is probably true that there is a lot of quackery about that supplement or product that was supposed to be very popular among health nuts. And the next thing you see that person reading quackwatch, that could be a death sentence to a newly found health seeker.
Just one example about vitamin C. Dr. Andrew Weil discourages form high doses of vitamin C, dr. Mercola is on the same page, with gladness places "studies" showing possible problems of vitamin C; but somehow very hesitant on showing studies that prove positive efects of this most researched substance on the face of the Earth. And John Barron says: "In fact, there is some evidence that although it is "chemically" identical, the synthetic form of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) may actually thicken the arterial walls of the heart by as much as 2.5 times!" I wonder how many people got scared off that super substance, our beloved ascorbic acid. After reading that those people probably are seeking for an aspiring, just in case, you know.
Do they really believe in what they say, really do they say that from the bottom of their hearts or just they are playing it safe and make themselves more apealing to the crowds? Or once thry said somethign big, are afraid to admit publicly that they where wrong.
Sometimes it really frustrating. Beyond vitamin C. If anyone can bring down mr. dr. Weil to the western suburbs of Chicago I would like him to see first hand that
Liver Flush is real and not bogu and we could travel both to a lab so that he so for himself that these are not curled oil or something but cholestrol stones (80%) and bilirubin stones (20%). Nevermind John Barron is scaring people off using
Colloidal Silver internally- at least he says it's fine topically.
And the life goes on.
