If you had a herpes outbreak chances are youd know it. My first outbreak was horrible! Since than I havent had one -knock on wood. Mine (and I think others also) are open sores are almost like tiny cuts, and they hurt a lot. You normally have itching on the area before an outbreak also. In any case I agree with the others and get yourself checked out. There are other STDs that are curable but ifnot treated deadly dont mean to scare you but get yourself to the doctor, better to go see one get a shot if neccesary or meds and move on with your life.
