Protien S or C deficiency

Does anyone know anything about Protien S or protien C deficiency? It is a condition that goes along with strokes at a young age. Young women of child bearing age often have problems with toxemia, high blood pressure and other problems. My daughter was diagnosed with the condition and I want to find out more info on it. I think that drs are just discovering how seriuos this is. It is hereditary and we are advised to get checked for this deficiancy. We did find two women in our family, great aunts of my daughter. I was told that I don't have it but I am wondering if the dr did the wrong test as he never heard of it and may have gotten it mixed up with the C reactive protien test. That is a heart or inflamation test-- not even related. I will dig up whatever info I can find and try to post again. Please contact me if you know more about it.
