Re: Seeing the Light and *cayenne

very interesting, about destabilizing the eyes...I would say mine are unstable.
Thanks for pointing that out!(Re: punning, have you any idea how hard it is to say something that doesn't reference 'seeing'? My ex began to lose his sight some years ago, with a mysterious pressure in the eyes no doctor could name...and I was forever putting my foot in my mouth, seeming to rub salt in the wound...you get the picture...;-)

I have just begun the Bates book, and really enjoy his old-world writing style, not to mention, his knowledge is beyond keen! I find it all fascinating. My night vision is great, but light at midday does give me lately a weird sense of vertigo. Like there's too much sky. And though I have glasses for distance, I only wear them to see theatre.
I remain hopeful...

*re: cayenne. I'm a convert. I was straining some cayenne slurry the other day, (to get tincture), and got a speck just under my eye. For the next half hour I had to keep it closed, while it flushed but after that, the eye semed brighter, rested and much clearer. (the other eye had serendipitously received the same treatment about a week prior.)
