Re: Medicine I never needed for "bipolar" disorder
Hopinso,
That was my first gut thought too. That somehow, doctors are almost pressured in giving antidepressants away.
My father in law, a very ill man with many complications including severe neuropathy, complete loss of hearing, insulin dependant diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, arthritis, unable to walk without assistance etc., was given by a one doctor TWO different types of antidepressants at THE SAME TIME! Plus loads of them in sample boxes!
WHAT?
I did not know what it was, but after the third day on one of them ( Lexapro, I later read about ) He was yelling at people and very grumpy. I removed them and for the following three days he lay there on the couch totally DEPRESSED.
He already had problems, being depressed WAS NOT one of them, but it caused it! I feel it poisoned him.
These doctors make me so frustrated, why dont THEY gulp down their own samples and see how they feel afterwards!
I completely felt they were pushed.
