I was shocked when she told me that and questioned her about it. She said this same doctor also signed her kid's athletic health releases without seeing the boy. She thinks its a wonderful thing, but I am not so sure. I haven't been to an allopathic doctor in several years, but if I put my faith in that kind of medicine I would hope the doctor would make sure it was right for me. I have mixed feelings about ear and sinus infections, they are so easily diagnosed that a doctor really doesn't have to see the person every time, but what if its something more serious?
I still can't believe that any competent doctor would prescribe something as powerful and potentially dangerous as antidepressants without seeing the patient first, but, my old doctor prescribed the same drugs to a lot of people who probably didn't need them. I can't help wondering if the drug companies don't "help" the doctors out when they prescribe certain medicines. I know that is not supposed to happen, but......
