stillhopin...

Hi stillhopin...I just found your post early this morning...I haven't had a chance
to check in much lately...problems with my elderly mother-in-law. But it's early
here in the midwest...and I decided to check in before I lose control of my day
again.

I've studied natural healing since the late 70's..and I personally wouldn't
give a small child herbs or much else. NOW HANG ON!!! I read where you had been
to another forum...and folks were not nice over there...and I don't mean this that
way. I realize that you are new to natural healing...and there is soooooooo very
much to learn. I'm still learning, myself daily...after all these years. But while I do recommend herbs and other supplements on occasion to adults and we take
them ourselves on occasion...I just wouldn't give them to a 7 year old myself.

You can do almost anything you want to do with foods in their natural state...and
also juicing...that you can do with supplements. Do you own a juicer? Don't remember if you said.....

First...let me tell you about our youngest daughter...now 31. When she was 10 & 11
years old. We went through a real nightmare with her. She began having headaches...tummy aches...she was always thinking she was going to throw up. She
rarely ever did...but once in a while it would happen. We went to the pediatrician...he ran every test under the sun...found nothing. As time went on
and she was missing so much school...he sent us to a specialist...that ran MORE
tests...but found nothing. After 2 years of worrying ourselves sick...she just
started slowly 'feeling better'. It wasn't until years later...after she was married..that she finally confided in us what was wrong with her. There was a class
mate at school who's mom had died...and Kim was afraid "I" was going to die while
she was at school. She was too young to understand that 'my' health was fine at
the time..and there was nothing to worry about. AND she was afraid to talk about it to us.
Just a very few years ago...our grandson went through the very same thing. His was
tummy problems, only. He saw specialists both here and in another state. Had
extensive tests run on him. And HIS problem turned out to be on the same order...
his best friends little sister had died of a rare form of cancer...and she was
the 2nd child in their little country school to die of cancer...and he got to worrying about himself and his little brother. But wouldn't tell anyone. After about 6
months...he just happened to say something one day that gave us the hint...and we
began asking questions and talking to him...and he was 'cured' almost immediately.
He was about 9 years old when this happened.

I know, stillhopin...that it's necessary that you find out what the problem is...and
believe me...I would be looking for answers, too. But kids can be so private and
we never know what's going on in their little minds. And there is so much horrible
news all around us these days. She may have a medical problem that needs seeing to...or she may be worrying about no telling what...and afraid to say. Worry can
upset your whole system.

Just kind of think through the last few weeks of your daughters life. Does she
like school? Has anyone close to her...even a child at school..or parent of a child passed away? Is she doing well in school? Is everything at home ok??? And
you don't have to answer any of these questions to us...but just think them through
yourself...Is there any reason for her to be worrying about you or you and her dad? Does she ever mention the terrorist stories that are always in the news?
Is there anything about her that would give other kids a reason to make fun of her
at school??? I really hated to post that last question...but 'you' are the only one
of us that would know that answer. And if she's having any kind of problems at school...that alone could cause her to have an upset tummy...even at home...because
as soon as she gets home...she starts worrying about having to go back 'tomorrow'.
How is she at home...is she a fairly happy child? Does she laugh much? Is she active? Is she a loner? There are so many things that 'you' can step back and
look at or for.

NOW...if it 'is' a physical problem. Here are a few more things to look at or for.
What is her diet like? Does she eat a lot of sugary foods? Drink lots of colas?
Eat lots of chips or other 'oily' foods? Think about a typical day of eating for
your daughter...what is breakfast like? Lunch? Supper? Snacks..and how often?
Do her bowels move daily? And have you ever gone in and looked after a bowel movement? If not..do so and post back here what you find. Look for these things...color of feces...consistency (diarrhea or regular stool)...is it marbles
or does it look fairly normal? Does she go very much at all?

You can get to the bottom of this stillhopin...and you can probably do it fairly
quickly. But if she was my child...and you have had blood tests, etc run and they
didn't find anything...I'd be looking for a healing path to put her on...but it
would be totally natural...no herbs or supplements except the normal ones for
children (vit c, etc.)

If you do want to post answers to anything...about her current diet or whatever
I'll be glad to help you if I can. But for now...just give her lots of hugs and
reassurance. Try to help her to find reasons to laugh a lot...even if she already
does. We just can't laugh TOO much! :-)

I hope some of this helps...and I'm so sorry you had a bad experience on another
forum. There are lots of wonderful caring people here that will go out of their
way to help you. You're in the right forum now! :-) kathryn
