natural healing for receding gums?

Hi, I think my gums are receding fairly rapidly. I used to have just one tooth where the gums were receded and now I have several teeth where this is taking place. I am on a low budget, so I'm trying to figure out remedies for this problem other than internal cleansing... any recommendations?
