Re: any answers to quit smoking?

You have to absolutely want to quit in order to successfully quit for good. I smoked for 25 years and have been smoke free for over 2 years. Luckily, it became disgusting to me. I used no aids.
Keeping busy helps. When the thought for a cigarette pops in your head, replace that thought immediately. I know that sounds simplified but one day you will realize that you didn't think of having a cigarette all day long! The actual physical addiction is over in about a week but the psychological addiction can last for years. You must change your thought process. I've heard that munching on carrots and or sunflower seeds helps to quell the cravings although I don't know that first hand.
My mother died of emphysema. I had already quit but it made me realize what a horrible death warrant smoking is.
Best of luck to you. You can do it!
