Re: It sounds like you're on the
Healing Path
Hello Owen,
Thanks for the words of encouragement and also the advice. I wanted to ask you about drinking water. Is reverse osmosis water better for you than regular tap water? I hear it is just a tad below distilled water. This RO water is more readily available to me than distilled water is. There are so many people who tell me different things. I don't know who to believe.
I do have at least a gallon of distilled water lying around my pantry since I use that for my homeopathic remedy (a liquid remedy).
I have been off soda pop for over a year now. Sometimes I slip and drink maybe 1 can every 2 months. But not diet.
I do eat meat - red meat especially. But I buy the hormone free, grain fed or free range meat. It is quite spendy, but worth it to me, since I don't think I could go without red meat. My ancestors were hunters and gatherers, so my perfect meal is a delicious dark green leafy salad, (with olive oil, vinegar and garlic pepper) and a tender steak. I do eat a lot of fresh fruits and veggies, mostly not organic though, since there is little to choose from out here of the organic foods.
I am not super fond of soy, but do use soy milk to cook with. And I have organic cow milk, too, which is delicious. I do eat out occasionally, with me visiting a fast food place (usually taco bell) a few times a month.
I drink green tea a lot as well. I have this concentrate in a dropper bottle, 2
oz. It has green tea polyphenols (equivalent to 15 cups of green tea made from the tea bags) per serving. I also drink koolaid sweetened with Stevia. I know koolaid isn't the healthiest, but I feel that since I am using Stevia, that can now be my vice. It is amazing how 1/2 teaspoon of stevia can sweeten a whole pitcher of koolaid!!
I just turned 29, but have been taking vitamins my whole adult life. I realize that I don't deal with stress too well at all, and I internalize everything, letting it build up. I could never see myself doing yoga or meditating. Since I got the chi machine, that is as close as I get to relaxing each night. And during my massages. I guess little by little I am learning to relax more, and that is what matters. I feel about 70% better than I did a year ago, and I know I will continue to feel better as the days progress.
Thanks again for your post, and have a lovely day!
