I was under the impression that getting plenty of calcium IS one of the ways to alkalize the body. That's the main reason that I was concerned about getting calcium. I have the tendency to not produce enough stomach acids (which I can tell from my bowel movements), which I understand is from an acid PH. I rarely eat junk food; my diet is very strict, but I still seem to be overly acidic. Stress could have something to do with that, though.
