You know magnesium oxide is the only one that works for me (I know they say its not absorbable but for some reason it works and I have BAD! insomnia) I take threee 250mg tablets plus 5HTP, niacinamide and melatonin. Its a lot but works. Magnesium makes me relaxed and helps me stay asleep, niacinamide makes me drowsy and the other two put me into rem sleep otherwise I dont dream and then dont feel refreshed. If I wake in the night I take one each of the melatonin, niacinamide and magnesium. Too much magnesium will make me groggy. HTH
