It may not be that all of us are afraid of death. But that the thought of someone dying a painful death does pull at our hearts-no matter what religion a person belongs to.
Even though Terri may not experience suffering- we put ourselves in her place and worry that she may and that the doctor's dont know everything about what the brain experiences- and we feel shamed if we are indifferent to that.
I'm not saying we are right in this thinking- -this is just how many of us feel- right or wrong.
