Re: moving on
Thanks for yopur replies. I have done a great deal of research around all these subjects you have all mentioned.
I have read and owned the three main UT books including armstrongs book for two years.
I have a total understanding of my type of cancer and what mutation drives it. I also have a total understanding of Gleevec and how it has managed to shrink large tumours by 50% within one month of taking it. It is a targeted therapy and has minimal side effects. Im a member of an online support group for GIST cancer and I have much knowledge and support from the people there. My type of cancer is a particularily aggresive one and is a killer!!
before gleevec the only option was surgery as Chemo and Radio thereapy didnt touch it. This drug is a big breakthrough in oncology. I have read about people that where next to death in a hospice and five years ago where given gleevec when it first was in trial and these people have managed to live a normal life with a chronic disease ever since.
Its because of the aggressive nature of GIST that I have tried all I can to stop it by alternative means but now its back and has been growing rapidly I nead to hit it with something strong!!
Since I took the first pill a week ago All my symptoms have disapeared.
Im sorry to hark on about this drug and I do feel very lucky its there for me and others havent such a drug available to them I really understand the plight of the cancer patient!
My plan is to carry on as butch suggested with alternatives to help my system. but these will mostly be a clean diet and flax oil, oh and green tea!
I dont like the implication that because I havent squared with some God I have cancer and that is why I cant get rid of it!!.
Its a freak mutation and an unlucky one at that.
Cheers
Peter
