I would favor a system utilizing an annual membership, with the entire site being accessible to members only. That way, you can assign passwords, member I.D. numbers, etc.... More people would be able to pay, including those from outside the U.S., as well as those without credit cards. I would rather less and less people use credit cards, since the banking system is out of control internationally, as is evidenced by your Cashless Society article in the newsletter archive. I hope more people will research that international rip-off also, but I digress to the original topic here.
You could have a limited access, no fee browse feature for people first entering the site, much like other information sites. If they like what they're reading, they can choose to become members for a fee, and if they choose not to then they can't access the full site.
Keep everything here you possibly can, since you have no idea when someone will need to access the information. Tweet
