The civility of eating animals
Ok, this is what I am saying.
There are 2 issues.
#1 Is a diet that contains animal protein unhealthy? And more specifically, since this is a candida board, is it unhealthy for candida patients? In spite of your insistance that your position is the only correct one, the answer to that question remians debatable because there are expert views on both sides of that issue, and people on these boards who have gotten well using either approach.
#2 Is killing animals in order to eat them barbaric? Creatures killing other creatures for their nutritional needs is how the animal kingdom has worked for eons, and people are part of the animal kingdom. People have a choice to eat or not eat meat, and if they choose not to for THEIR OWN moral reason, then good for them, I support their efforts. I am not out for just rampant killing of animals for food, I just believe in being reasonable. BTW, some research suggests that plants can feel pain and "scream" when cut, so what to do about the plants? If you wish to debate the morality issue further, that should really be taken to a debate forum. (I think there might be a vegan one?) That is why they have things like the
Christianity Debate forum; it is so people's moral beliefs don't get clogged up with the straight health info posts.
And your insinuation was, "I assure you that Sans Sucre is not civil in the least underneath his (her) unassuming language", which implies you are extrapolating the fact that I eat some meat to an incivility of my entire make-up. You still have not addressed that. It is clear to me just based on our discussions that I run circles around you in terms of civility.
And yes, there are animal rights groups that target people, and some at the very least that cheer if they happen to get one by accident. I appreciate that it is a minority, and that you apparently do not count yourself in those groups. But, again, you seem ok with stereotyping me. . .
