Yes, you definetely want to be shopping at health food stores and buying all organic foods. Ideally you would go to a farmer's market but that is not always available. I also live in California and have farmers markets every day in my city but there are still great foods that you can buy at health stores, though locally grown always tastes better and is more nutritous. Do not mistake the power of organic foods, they can be the difference in your health. Also, especially if you are eating a lot of nuts, you should be getting about two big bunches of leafy greens a day. I know I'm kind of repeating the message from evan but that is because these are very important and should not be overlooked, especially the organic part. Good luck
