Help with ACID / ALKALINE PH results

Hello everyone

I have been trying to focus on becoming alkaline. When I got my test strips and tested I was 7.0 from midday on. From first thing in the morning varies from 6.25 - 6.50 until afternoon. According to what I have read these are pretty good numbers, but I still have a ways to go.

My question is does water affect this reading? I notice right after I drink a fair amount of water my alkalinity goes up. I wonder if my readings are correct. Because I never drink plain water, always with concentrace minerals added. Could it be possible that the 7.0 reading I am getting is because I am urinating out the minerals and possibly getting a faulty reading of 7.0.

Although my husband who was somewhat acid at about 6.0 the first day we checked wound up being 7.0 the very next morning , first urine of the day after drinking literally 64 ounces of water right before bed, without any minerals in it, just plain water.

Is this due to the fact of flushing out acid toxins?

How does water and or liquid minerals added to water effect ph.

Michelle
