Candida can only kill you if you've got a seriously compromised immune system (i.e. AIDS. Candida is a symptom of an underlying illness and a weakened immune system. If you almost died it likely wasnt the candida that was killing you but the underlying illness. I thought Candida almost killed me too but it was actually a bacteria called C-Diff and candida was just a symptom of that infection. At the time I was unaware of the c-diff and since the diet caused huge improvement in my health I had assumed it was candida. I'm guessing that you're making that same assumption regarding your own health.
I've never heard of any case where candida has killed someone who didnt already have a seriously compromised immune system. If you have documentation of this I'd be very interested in reading it. I'm always willing to learn new things.
