Re: Diflucan

I benefitted from it. Read my post above to Michelle re "Don't do what I did"

When I started diflucan i had already spent 9 mos of eating almost nothing but vegs and protein, so my liver was not so clogged up and not prone to rashes like rlm79. I did get an occasional hive, but it was no big deal. I had continual liver function tests just to make sure I wasn't damaging my liver. Nizoral is the harsh one, diflucan has a good track record of not harming livers, though it IS matabolized through the liver. Unless of course, a person already has compromised liver function. You can get a simple test for this via blood.

I had been in the ER 3 times prior to taking diflucan in 2 years and I was nearly dead, had klonopin and Xanax prescribed and didn't work (for anxiety and panic) throwing up couldn't eat and many other symptoms list as long as both arms and more than $5,000 for tests in one year, after insurance! After 6 mos with internist, she decided I needed to see psychatrist. "My friend will help you," she said. LOL

The reason we don't see diflucan used much in the curezone forum is because a holistic practitioner cannot Rx it. If people say that the candida comes right back again after using it, well that's true. It's also true for natural antifungals. You have to do all the stuff Jhan has done, detox, alkalize and beef up the immune system big time afterwards.

Also, a good thing to know is that livers are pretty hardy. They have the remarkable ability to regenerate functioning, given proper care and support. In case there's any question regarding the after effects of using diflucan. But really all the books I've been able to find on the subject point to case histories and those show that diflucan is favorably tolerated in almost all patients. The key is liver checks. If the numbers change too much and are headed out of range, then there may be cause for discontinuing. Good luck!
