In my humble opinion (based on life experience) trying to wean yourself slowly off Sugar and carbs is a losers game. It will be harder and will probably not work. The truth is, after the first 3 difficult days of avoiding Sugar and carbs you will be presantly surprised that you then CAN resist them easily.
Say to yourself: Carbs and sweets are only fit food for fungus and yeast.
When you look at them and want them, try imagining them covered with hungry MOLD.
