Sounds like a myth to me ! Salmonella is not the demon everyone seems to think, unless it an extreme exposure I find it hard to believe they could be passed on through an egg carton or the ggs themself unless the hens where in very poor health to begin with ! Which is unlikely if they where purchased at a family farmer of any repute!
