If you bought "key to health and rejuvenation" there is a whole section on raw foods, including juicing... if not, you can search the ask andreas archives for more info on raw foods. there was just a question about wheat grass in his forum today...

raw vegetables and juice have strong enzymes that provoke an immune reaction in the body. some things, like wheat grass provoke a very strong reaction. in the short term this can make you feel good, long term, it can wear your system down and cause ulcers in the gi tract (which can manifest as dry skin on your face). the long and short of it is that the body is not designed for large doses of raw veggies or raw vegetable juice. this definitely happend to me.

sugar is part of it too, but not because it feeds yeast. but reather because, without the fiber of the vegetable, the Sugar dose can destablize the gi tract.

I know I didn't really clarify much here, but if you keep digging around the archives, I know much more detailed posts exist about this issue...
