Re: Raw Food Equipment and recipes

The Vitamix is basically a VERY high horsepower blender. Since it doesn't "juice", you keep the pulp. I like it for blended soups and smoothies.

My husband brought home a Juiceman from work and it was AWEFUL... The pulp missed the bucket and sprayed everywhere, and there were HUGE slices of apple that didn't get ground up. He took it right back. I'm not sure how old it was, but it looked clean and not very well used. I think I know why!

I haven't tried sprouting yet, but once I'm done with my MC/juice fast, I'm gonna start.

I hope when you move, you find a place with a big kitchen. Our mobile has a pretty good size one, but I especially like the layout. Plenty of counter space. I'd have more if I got rid of the microwave, but it's holding up the cupboards (literally). Once I convince hubby to completely give it up, I'm gonna use it for airtight spice storage. We've done that before, and the plate works as a lazy susan...

BTW, if you hubby is in the AirForce, has he taken advantage of his eligibility for USAA insurance? Best company around (in my opinion), and only active duty military can sign up for it. Once you establish eligibility, you're set. If you want info, email me....
