Re: Evolution: A Modern-Day CULT

I commend you for that nice little rant. You make some interesting points, especially the whole evolutionism being a pseudo-religion. But in between the interesting points is lots of ranting. First of all Darwin's theory of evolution is taught as Darwin's Theory of Evolution. Not rule, not law. Theory. Also, mutation and evolution can be demonstrated with a few things in nature, i.e. mimicry, antibiotic-resistant bacteria, the fact that so many creatures including man look exactly the same at specific stages of development. If you're sticking so close to scripture it doesn't talk about eskimos or indonesians or africans or swedes, so how do you explain the varieties of races in the world? Africans have darker skin because God thought it'd be cool to spice things up visually?
You're assuming a lot about people just for their beliefs and you have a tone of "I'm better than you because I think you're wrong".

Being gay is not equivalent to being a child molester. The reason why child molestation is so wrong is because it's taking advantage of an immature underdeveloped person that cannot give consent and can severely damage the child mentally, emotionally, and physically. Homosexuality between consenting parties is not the same. You say you CAN choose to be gay? So you could be gay if you wanted to, you just don't feel like it today?

But most importantly, you're misinterpreting believing evolution as being non-conservative. If one believes in evolution, they're automatically a liberal tree hugger gay baby killer. Um, no.

Polarizing views like yours in this respect are dangerous because you're making everything either/or. Everything that you believe can't possibly be more right, and everything the other guy believes couldn't possibly be more wrong based on the fact that you're right. You'd get along with Ann Coulter. She's a winner.

As for ending with a quote from Dahmer, a "noted evolutionist".....it's not as if "noted creationists" are spotless. There have been lots of people who believe that God or other supreme being created everything that have said and done some pretty horrible things. Don't go for the cheap shot. Calling Dahmer an evolutionist means you can call Hitler a creationist. He's got some quotes too.
