i like my solitude too, but there is a fine balance in everything. if i may offer a suggestion, when around people try focusing on your surroundings and other people rather then yourself and your anxiety. be aware of yourself but also take an interest in the world around you. try to develop a positive outlook on people's drama....afterall you are not perfect either and what might seem like other's drama just might be their living passionately in the moment of their life...

i found out a few yrs back that self awareness and being self conscious too the point of anxiety are two different things. the first will help you cope and open up your life, the latter will isolate you.

you can also practice affirmations since afterall our brain can be programmed consciously...

'i let go of the past and created myself new again'
and
'i love and accept myself and others love and accept me'

...or your own variations.
