Re: confused :/
You are going to find various opinions and controversy about almost any alternative health practice or food choices. Its very confusing for most laymen and the best thing we can do is read both sides of the story and determine what is best for us. Almost every forum here on Curezone has its shares of detractors. Vinegar-cure all or poison?, Psyllium, miracle bowel cleanser or a chief cause of constipation?, liver flushes, real
Gallstones or the saponification of olive oil?, Master Cleanse, a cleansing Masterpiece or a sure road to bad health?, honey, Nature's perfect sweetener or "bee vomit"?. I think many of the negative replies are from open minded people who have had poor results from their chosen alternative cure, other negative posts are from "trolls" who seek to undermine all alternative health modalities.
I have used the Bragg's raw apple cider vinegar for over a year now. While I have not experienced all the miraculous healing the book suggests, I feel the product has done some good. There were periods of time when I did not use the ACV regularly, so I may not be the best one to model its efficacy on anyway.
The more you learn, the better able you will be to make educated choices about how to take responsibility for your own health. There are no quick fixes or miracle cures in most alternative health techniques. Primarily this is because we are seeking true healing, not just relief from symptoms. After years of frustration with traditional medicine and the often discouraging journey through alternative health I have learned one very important thing. All the supplements, cleanses, and other curative devices will not work unless we make every effort to clean up our diets and improve our lifestyle. It takes time to find out the best way for our bodies to assimilate the proper foods; once again this is an area of great confusion for many of us. Trial and error will help us determine our best diet. Meanwhile everyone can benefit from eliminating refined, processed, high fat (especially trans fat) high
Sugar foods and go for more natural things. A clear understanding of how our bodies work, and an awareness of our personal weaknesses will help us chose the proper cleansing techniques and supplements.
Start slowly, if you want to try vinegar buy a pint bottle, not a
quart. If it agrees with you after two or three weeks, then it may be right for you. If you feel worse or develop new symptoms then discontinue the ACV. Its fine to read and study both sides of any controversial subject; but in the long run, only you can determine what is best for your own health and needs.
By the way, I just had a glass of ACV mixed with a teaspoon of Sucanat and I'm still alive and breathing. Vinegar is not poison, although, granted, it may not be the right supplement for everybody.
