Re: Please help... URGENT!
Hi!
With regard to your migraines (and I don't suggest you do this during a cleanse!!!!),I used to get them regularly, too, including regular headaches. Back in 1985, I changed my diet radically overnight. First I did a 4 day
Rotation Diet leaving out all foods I was allergic to (wheat, corn, dairy, yeast and eggs...obviously any food products that contain these items in some sort of processed form...for example wine, chocolates, corn syrup, etc.). Gradually, I took it further and went vegetarian (but still no dairy!!). Once in a while I would have a buffalo burger and salmon (wild caught only)...maybe once a week or sometimes not for months. We eat a lot of raw fruits and veggies...organic mostly. Anyway, after about 8 years, all headaches and migraines disappeared completely. Last migraine was around '93. My last illness was winter of '94...pneumonia believe it or not. I figure it was my last mucous crisis...didn't go to hospital..just rode it out (at the time I did not realize I had Pneumonia...just thought it was a real bad cold). Anyway, doing all the detoxes, etc. takes time and patience. But well worth it!!
Back to the migraines...when you are not in a cleanse of some sort...and a migraine starts up (I assume it's gradual?), try walking up and down some stairs for 20 minutes to half an hour. This is a great aerobic exercise...but it also gets rid of the migraine...at least it did for me. For me, it gave relief...sometimes permanent and at other times temporary. The moment I felt the migraine returning, I'd get back on those stairs (carpeted stairs). I know this is the last thing you want to do when you have a migraine...but for me I opted for this protocol because otherwise I would have the pain for 2-3 days. I felt that a lot of pain for maybe 20 minutes (by going up and down the stairs with a migraine) was a good investment in preventing the pain for 3 days or so. Keep in mind that I was back then and am now in very good physical shape...not overweight, cholesteral around 180, blood pressure as low as 90 over 60, but typically in the realm of 100-110 over 70. Exercise for me was and is a normal habit for me since I was a teenager. What I'm saying here is be careful about doing this type of exercise...be your own guide...you don't want to get a stroke doing this if your body can't handle this. 20-30 minutes up and down stairs can be brutally exhausting for some. For me it was no problem (a 2-5 mile run is no problem for me...). I hate to say this, but check with a health care professional first before you start hopping up and down the stairs to be sure you won't do harm to yourself. That said.....instead of treating symptoms, get to the cause and cure it...eating properly, cleansing and moderate exercise worked for us...probably work for you, too!
Best wishes!!
