I don't think you've made your calculations correctly. You can't just calculate a percentage out of the density if two substances with different densities are mixed together. You have to know the weights of them, add them up, then you need to calculate their volumes separately considering their densities, add them up and finally divide the final weight by final volume to get the density of the solution. Please correct me if I corrected you wrongly.
