Re: Lots of Pain

I have very similar issues. The crawling and biting at night can be unbearable. Worst yet, are the mass amount of eggs every morning. I think I have tried everything, but mine is a mainly a hyperinfection of these flukes. I believe it is technically an etopic infection since it is outside the liver. My hair has been so tangled every morning, I can't tell you how depressing it is. So, I'm not telling you this to depress you, but to explain I have been there. You might want to get a V-Comb - and buy extra refills. This is a lice comb with a suction on it that gathers the parasites in a disposable filter. It sucks them right up. It is work, but it is so satisfying when you can run you gloved hands through your hair and not find a bunch of ratted hair. Also, you now have samples of what the parasites are and eggs! I had a number of flukes, hookworms and threadworms, when I reviewed my samples under a microscope. If you use the V-comb, be sure and tissue off the eggs on the under side of the comb so you don't spread them around your hair. Just pay attention to the comb and keep it clean while you are using it. Also, you might want to wear a face mask (don't want to breathe in any eggs) and be sure and put a towel around your neck and shoulders.Once you know what they are i.e., flukes, red worms, white worms, etc. you'll know how to target them. I take triclabendazole , Prazi, Ivermectin and Albendazole. I'm on my 10th or 11th round of Tric - my infection was really bad. You'll want to wear disposable gloves when you handle your hair - I'm serious. Try wearing a new slumber cap every night - not pretty, but it keeps the parasites and the eggs from getting on the pillow and spreading to the face and neck. Try coating the face and neck with Ivermectin paste at night or rolling on the Ivermectin inject-able. Also, to keep those eggs down, use Nix (the creme conditioner with permethrin). I have tried everything and I used it every couple of weeks and left it on for at least an hour. The goal was to eliminate those eggs. Whatever is in it - it really helps remove the eggs (you can also try spraying a vinegar to water solution on and leaving it for several hours)! Blow dry your hair each time you wash it - heat kills the eggs. After you wash your hair, be sure and pour a cup of boiling water or hot water from coffee maker, down the drain to kill the eggs left in the drain. Check out Novokid - a product from Israel that vaporizes the parasites and eggs.
