Re: Exfoliative Cheilitis Survey
Hello,
That sounds really interesting. Thanks a lot for taking the time to complete this survey!
So, someone bit your lip in Fall of 2006, then a few months later in Winter of 2006 you got EC for the first time?
You are male, and say you were circumcized as a baby?
You also claimed that you used to/ smoke weed?
You say that at one point in time you had a bad habit of picking and biting, and ripping off the skin before it was ready to come off on its own.
You also say that around the time you first got EC you had panic attacks related to death and the thought of losing your family.
You believe steroids may have made things somewhat worse? (I think persoanlly steroid creams exacerbate EC/make it worse)
You also claim to have been in one car accident.
This is very interesting. For some reason I decide to come on CureZone today (I took a little vacation/was doing other things) and today is the first time in a little while that I decided to come check up on CureZone.. And I see your post which was 20 minutes ago from the time I logged in today. Now I'm typing this reply... Is that a coincidence or what?
Literally I haven't been on CureZone for 2+ months and now I come back and as soon as I check this thread I notice I have 1 new message from you 20 minutes ago.. And before that I had none..
What a coincidence. But anyway, your answers to the survey, they are interesting. Because it sounds like you're telling the truth and it means something. Everything you say points to one cause, the cause that I have been belveing is true.
It's..... Trauma.... The biting of your lip right before you got EC is no coincidence.
The car accident. The smoking. The "not the best oral hygiene".. The panic attacks right before you got EC is mental trauma.
The biting of the lips in 2006 is physical trauma, and so is smoking, (and I also think circumcision as a baby), and the bad habit of picking and peeling the lips off... All of this is what caused the EC in the first place. Once you get EC it will be there forever... However, It can go away 75% or like 90% or 95% but there will always be small traces of it.. (it's normal, almost everyone gets chapped lips from time to time) So, it could go away forever and be back to normal if you do things to prevent it and stop smoking, picking, peeling the lips.. If not it won't have time to heal if you're always picking at peeling and causing more trauma to them. Get it?
Best of luck on curing your EC!!
